How Many Miles Is Your Trip Meter When Gas Gauge Hit Exactly 1/2 Way Mark!

out of curiosity...

Since i owned my car last march. i been watching everytime my gauge hit the half way mark to see how many miles i had... my driving habit are the same... for the first 15K...my trip meter consistantly show 140 miles when it hit halfway mark exactly....

ok. dont all jump on me and get crazy now... just sharing what i saw.. since i switched to chevron permium and also started using mobile 1... a month or 2 after that gradually, my trip meter show 160 miles to 165 miles consistantly when my gas gauge hit the halfway mark. DOnt forget im in los angeles. and its been 90-105 degrees here consistantly.. so cant attribute this to cold weather, if anything i will see better mileage when cold weather comes!!!!

by the way.. my car is at 22500 miles now. and i switch to mobile 1 and chevron at around 17000 miles..

About 140 - 160 but mine varies, because I do 99% city and traffic varies day to day. From the Navi's advanced trip computer history, my average speed per tank is 21mph. I ussually get about 11+ hours of city driving time per tank.

It really depends on my driving. In general, around 170. On my last roadtrip it hit around 215.

175-205 Depending on how I've been driving. If I'm in Vtec a lot the number is definitely on the lower end.

300km (187.6 miles) almost everytime. Mine is a 5AT, no navi, no skirt, no spoiler. I wonder how much the spoiler would hurt the gas millage.

175-ish

That's like 445,000km for you Soviet Canukistan residents. I hear it's different up in Canadia.

Whatever. I guess I'm the one laughing when I do twice the mileage for each tank of gas that "driver" Kurt does when gas is at $4.xx/gal.

I mainly do highway driving and I would get 200 miles to the 1/2 tank. On another note has anyone put in 89 or 87 percent octane vs. the recommended 91? the manual says it can take it with decreased performance.

I have a TSX loaner right now (Milano Red, it's a hot little car), it's a 5AT non-nav. I filled it up right after getting it, and at the halfway mark it was at 255 miles (all highway). I don't drive it aggressively, as it isn't my car. Today it's 365 miles at 1/4 tank. I expected a little better, actually, because when I dropped my TL off for warranty work (which is how I got this TSX) the gas light had just came on at 390 miles.

My driving is about 85% highway and 15% city. I usually get to about 200 at the half way point

The pump today was $3.59 for regular and $3.79 for 93 at an Amoco. On Monday the prices were only $2.69 and 2.95 respectively. Almost a dollar per gallon increase!!!

Me driving about 90 miles a day just going to work = suicide!

Gas prices and performance

With gas prices like a rocket. I tried putting in 89 octane yesterday. So far on highway drving I am not seeing any "decreased performance" as it says in the owners manual. Has anyone else tried this? Anyone tried regular 87 octane?

Thanks

hmm living 2 miles from work is nice . but still paying over 40 dollars now to fill up a tank is painful. I remember the days of 79 cents for regular.
