how do you secure your isimple box?

I'm planning on doing an isimple install this weekend, and I was curious where people mount the black box unit inside the center console. Do you just keep it in there and let it rattle around with the other wires behind the console box? Or do you mount it somewhere inside the console using velcro or something similar? It seems like there really isn't enough space to attach the box, but I'd like to hear others' experiences.

I don't have an iSimple - I have the USASpec box but I'm assuming they are roughly the same size.

I've tucked mine behind the console box. There's just enough space that it squeezes it in pretty snugly and it won't move anywhere. I've had mine back there for a few years now and it doesn't rattle at all.

I mounted the Isimple media gateway box to the ductwork directly behind the back of the console storage compartment - there is just enough clearance for the Isimple to be there. I mounted it using hot melt glue - apply a bit to the Isimple and hold flat onto the ductwork for a few seconds. I've had no problems with rattling.
I previously had placed the Isimple on the left side inside the console - inside the console near your right driver's knee. I had some problems with the connectors to the Isimple coming loose at that position - those connectors stick out a lot from the Isimple.
(I drilled a hole in the console storage bin and passed the wires into the bin. I find it handy to have the wires there and the iPod can be stored out of sight there.)

Awesome. Sounds like I'll have to experiment. I'm not too interested in permanent mounting solutions because I'd like to update my firmware from time to time.
