How do I replace the license plate lights!?

I finally got my LEDs and I have the liner off of the interior of the trunk and I can feel the sockets, but I can't get them to come out. what is the trick?

pop the trunk

there is a retaining clip on the right side, you can push in to remove the light

I finally got it finished after 45min. Not as easy as it sounds. First you have to take off the trunk lining. Then you have to pop off this exterior trim piece above the license plate that hold the lamp covers in. It makes it a little easier if you take off your license plate. Then you have to disconnect the lamps, push the clips on the lamp covers, and pull the lamp away from the cover so that you can pull the lamp out from the trunk. It was quite an ordeal. The LEDs I got from tec_toyz were really too big for the lamps, but after a lot of forcing I finally got the lamp covers back on the lamps. I wouldn't recommend this modification unless you really want to get rid of the stock lights. It is quite tedious.
