![Question](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
i recently purchased a 04 TSX and would like to remove the hitch so i can install my aspec kit. is there a diy or can someone give me pointers.

looking at the hitch it seems like it is a Hidden hitch, i found instructions on how to install it, but was not sure about how to remove the exhaust, do i have to remove just the front and rear hangers of the muffler?
any help would be appreciated.

Remove the muffler hangers and I think there's one more hanger where the pipe splits at the center and goes side to side (there's one pipe that comes down more or less the center of the car and splits off to the mufflers). Get under there and look and it should be self explanatory. You may want to put some weight on it (the now hanging exhaust system) to hold it down to the ground; you'll want as much room as possible to work. Take the heat shields off (there's one above each muffler)(assuming they were re-installed) and the two bolts on each side holding the hitch on should be visible. When I installed my hitch (which is what that is by the way), I subsituted stainless steel fasteners and used never seez on them. I planned on some day removing the hitch. It's unlikely you'll be as fortunate though, so you may have a tough time removing the bolts (actually the nuts). But...... they're pretty well protected from the elements, and depending on how long the hitch has been on and where you're located, they may loosen up with no problem.
