How do I remove the Air Filter cover?
Sorry for being a noob. I am trying to replace the Air Filter.
I got the 4 screws out. Can someone tell me how to remove the air filter cover? do I just pull it out? I don't want to put too much pressure. Do I need to disconnect any of the other vent hoses or connections?
Thx.

Worst case, remove the whole box...there are just two bolts. One is in the open closer to the dirvers door, the other is catty-corner and tucked under the hose and behind the battery. Since you have to undo the hose clamp and release the hose anyway (to pull the whole box), I'd do that first if that's what you are going to do.
Acura Service Manual 11-306 Air Cleaner Element Inspection/Replacement
1. Remove the air cleaner bolts (A) and the air cleaner housing cover (B).
2. Remove the air cleaner element (C) from the air cleaner housing(D).
3. Check the air cleaner element for damage or clogging. If there is damage or clogging, replace the air cleaner element.
NOTE: Do not use compressed air to clean the air cleaner element.
4. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

yes it's easy as pie! don't worry you won't break anything. you can yank the top as hard as you want pretty much. just make sure it fits properly when you replace it and put the cover back on.

I will try to put the new filter in without removing the cover mount hose.
if I have to remove the cover mount hose, can I just twist it an try to pull it apart from the cover? there is a spring that tightens the hose. no clamp.

It's either a clamp we cannot see under the hose, or the clamp that connects to the top of the valve cover...the manaul is clear as dirt in this . I'll take back the remove the box idea...just yank that baby open. In my Honda experience, it ain't easy, they have a very tight fit with surrounding components, and if they shift it can hang you up.

Driver/Detailer
The clippy part for the spring is on the underside of the tube. All you need to do to replace the air filter is to remove the 4 screws, lift up the driver's side edge of the airbox cover enough so you can reach in and pull the filter out. Put the new one back in, making sure that it sits properly and then put the cover back on.

Alright, I'm bringing this thread back...
I have a question for those of you who removed/replaced the filter. I'm having some trouble with the two screws to the left of the box (as in facing the box). I was able to get the ones on the right out without a problem. I've been struggling with this for at least an hour
I just don't want to end up stripping the screws...
I've removed screws/bolts before but these are some tough ones....
