i just noticed today there are 4 hook like metal in my trunk..
what are those for?

nah, those aren't exactly for the cargo net. the cargo net requires holes on the SIDE of the trunk. Those holes are good for holding stuff down in your trunk like a box if you have rope or some of those flexiable ropes with hooks. i've used the metal hooks a few times and they certainly are a great thing to have.

I need to get a couple little ropes or bungees and see if I can make use of those hooks. So far I've done nothing with them.

 

I had a spare cargo net I've used in my truck. I used four little carabiner-type buckles to clip it to the four hooks in the trunk. Works for me, and the cost was less than $20 for the net and buckles.

The net is folded over so the front clips are in the middle of the net, and both ends of the net are clipped to the rings on the back wall of the trunk. I can put things on, in or under the net, depending on size/weight.
