honda cabin/engine air filter part numbers
I've searched, but I wanted to know what the exact honda part numbers I need to replace my 06 tsx cabin filter and engine air filter? The acura parts are a rip, and I understand that it's cheaper to just order the parts from my local honda dealership. So would someone please let me know which honda/accord part numbers I need to tell the dealership to order? I need both the cabin air filter and the engine air filter.

If you want to save some money, try picking up the filters from Advanced Auto Parts.
Search for the DIY In Cabin replacement thread and threads for the engine filter for the part numbers.
I just replaced them last month and it costed me $30 for both

I found Amazon to be the cheapest. Pennzoil makes both and they'll ship for free w/ no sales tax.

I buy the blue engine air filter, 17220-RBB-A00, from Delray. Comparable price to what I can find on Amazon (quality, not cheapo). You can find part #s on Delray's site, btw. Plug in your VIN and you can find any part # you need.

Can someone help me out. I think I may have purchased the wrong air filter, but I'm sure it's the one for the 04-07 accord. I replaced my tsx filter with this honda one. It looks almost identical to the one I took out of my car, except the filter ridges seem to be a little bit shallower. Did I buy the wrong filter?
The part number is : 17220-RAA-A01
Thanks for your help.

The reason why I was worried is that it isn't identical as honda parts usually are considering all acura parts are honda parts. Technically, it should be. The only difference is the length of the paper filter ridges.

No, sometimes the Honda parts are EQUIVALENT, not exact. E.g. the Micron cabin air filters for Hondas are made in the US, the TL/RL filters may also be, but the TSX filters are the exact same filter, but made overseas.
The length/depth of the paper ridges probably makes no difference, maybe a little less surface area. I wouldn't fret.

There's some ambiguity with the honda part numbers for the accord air filter. You can find the 03-07 accord air filter listed as 17220-RAA-A00 or 17220-RAA-A01. I think the A01 part number has replaced the A00. So they're pretty much identical parts that should fit our TSX's. However, honda's parts computer only says that the A00 part number will fit the 04-05 tsx for some reason. I have the A01 and it fits just fine in my car however. I ordered the honda part 17220-RBO-AOO (acura parts catalog) as well to see if there's any difference at all. Still confusing though
