HID headlamps
I was wondering how long the HID headlamps last in the TSX. I have heard that they cost ~$300 to replace when they burn out. Is this correct? Are they easy to replace by owner or does the service need to do it? Anyone have experience with their longevity in Acuras and replacement?

I believe they have a life of about ~2500 - 3000 hrs. - standard halogen headlamps have a life of about 1000 hours.
Hypothetically, if you left them on all the time - every mile you drive the car - and averaged say 35mph over that time, you would get ~100,000 miles out of them. Chances are, you don't leave your headlights on all the time.

The bulbs list at $175.00 and are covered under your factory warr. we have'nt replaced any TSX bulbs yet , they are differant than the 99-03 TL & 99-04 RL. Those seem to burn out more frequently so hopefully the TSX, 04-05 TL bulbs will last longer.
