HID H11 Fogs: Would an 'eBay' kit work for the TSX?
I've been pondering getting a HID conversion kit for my fogs. Do these 'out of the box' kits work well? What are the caveats to doing so, or are there larger problems at hand? I'm handy with wiring and can get anything to work, but before I go crazy, what are the negatives to getting an eBay kit like this one?
Is it even a "true" HID? Ripoff? What about more expensive ones like the Kaixen kit our board vendor sells?

u honestly do not need a HID fog lights.
i would personally keep the 06 fogs i have.
you will have to go thru ballast unit and etc for new HID, and also, those ebay ones sell 50w fog halogens and say they are HIDs... at least what ive been seeing online.
if you want really bright, bluish ones for the fog, get 80W instead of 55W fogs.
i just bought 80W Heliolite bulb. from outside, just like Hoen fog, it is blue coated, but it's 80 compared to 55, so will be much brighter. (planning to install this weekend)
i'll post up some pics if it looks better than my current Hoen Xenonmatch 55W halogen fogs.
and u no... yellow fogs are the ones that really work in fog.. ^^ ;
white ones like what i am planning to install is for looks...

Of COURSE you need HID fog lights!
Look at me!! (jk..but anyways..here's my setup) non-projector D1s 5000k bulbs auxiliarry fog light kit:
STOCK TSX HID...eh..it could be brighter! =]
Fog HID Only...no stock HID on here..notice no cutoff...
Both on..Stock HID + Fog HID
Notice the cutoff now on the wall ... thats the stock HID...
All I can say is..the difference is pretty damn noticable. These auxiliarry lights aren't even considered fog lights. They're literally auxillary lightning. Uses D1S bulbs and Phillips ballasts.
Here's another shot of just the auxilliary lights on. They come with glare shields..i took mine out cuz I want maximum brightness =] But I had to aim them down a little. If you do not aim these down, I swear you WIL get pulled over since they WILL blind the hell out of many...

no i didnt change anything... i added an auxilliary kit. This is a '05.
I don't think it would be wise/cost-effective for you to implement D1S HID into your stock fog housing.
The reason being is the TSX stock fog light lens cracks a lot... do a search it has cracked for too many people from road debris. Therefore, if it cracks, it will damage and destroy the expensive D1S hid bulbs... that would not be fun.
This is why I did not fork out $250 for the add-on fog kit or $75 for the eBay knock off kits since I know those cheap ass lenses from China will crack anytime.
Guess how much a OEM replacement lens for the stock oem fog kit is? It was like $100 each.

I remember seeing greendestiny's setup back when she got it and posted it, and its one of the things that makes me think about trying to retro a HID kit into my integrated 06 fogs, i love the output.
jaehshim I'm sure you love your setup, but it has NOTHING to do with what I'm talking about. I have Hoen xenonmatch bulbs now and they look fine. I'm considering a full kit, not just some crappy painted bulbs that say 50w or 80w when we all know they aren't just like your heliolite.
I'm asking if anyone has used an H11 HID kit before with either 04/05 oem fogs or 06 integrated fogs, or seen a similar thing in person. Since I have an 06, I'm not going to go full aux HID like greendestiny did.

It is pretty simple. You just need to find a place to mount the ballast and ignitor in the bumper, which is easy once you have it off. Securing them with screws to the bottom side works well. I was going to do this myself but decided not to at the last minute due to concerns about how much glare it would cause other drivers.

Searching this one has been hard for me with 3 letter words like HID, fog, kit, H11, and other words returning junk.

This mod would just be for looks and not functional right? I mean if it were really foggy and you were putting out that much light, even at a low angle, won't you get that much reflected back? Then again, in our '06's, we can't turn off the headlamps and leave fogs on which doesn't make much sense.
