HID fog lights flickering

I just installed a set of aftermarket Plug N Play kit H11 fog lights. there's a slight flicker to the lights that I'm not sure what is causing this.

from some of the stuff that I've found using google, they say that a relay harness will solve the problem, I'm running 2 relays. I have the ballasts set up so that they have their own relay and fuse that connects them directly to the battery so power should not be an issue.

for the grounds I used the grounds that were already on each side of the car (there was a bolt on each side that had 4-5 wires running to it to act as a ground).

if anyone has any input, it would be appreciated.

thank you

I was going to say get a relay kit but I guess you already have it. :/

after some more research I don't know if I should call this a "flicker". the lights are not turning on and off like others are reporting, but I've got more of a "bouncy" light.

here is a 10 second video I took of the problem. The upper lights are my factory HID, the lower lights are the aftermarket HID kit.

no. that is with the car off. if the engine is on I get the same results.

the lights do that even when they're off of the car. I think I have bad ballasts, I'm going to try to contact the company I bought from on monday.

Not sure if you got the hids from our vendor, but I was browsing through the forum and someone mention that his hids were flickering. Here's what he wrote, you might want to mess with your wiring to see if it helps..

Now problem solved, it gives a nice look on my car since the headlights are also HIDs.
Here are pics of my car with HIDXTRA's HID Kit:
BTW, I got 3000K H1s

Thanks for the kit HIDXTRA.

I've had the same problem and before you know it, the ballast failed on me. Eventually, you might run into the same problem as I did, where the fogs would just not turn on anymore. I knew for sure it was the ballast because I dropped the bumper and then swapped bulbs to the opposite side and the bulb was fine.

I swapped out the ballasts for some 55w ballasts and the problem was solved.

now the curious thing is that I hooked these up to a standard d2s bulb and no flickering.

not sure what was going on there.

on the bright side I did kill my OEM battery messing around with this all weekend. oh well, it seems to be holding a charge now. but it's a little over 3 years old and is probably nearing the end of it's life anyway.
