Help Needed!!!
Guys I need help. I just changed my windshield and fog light because of rock chips (highway driving). Guess what? Not even a month I already got a chip on my fog light! FAWK!
So aside from replace it again does anyone have some solutions so it won't break on me? A guy from my insurance suggested using silicone to fill the void. I know it kinda works but it doesn't look too good...anyone have experience to this matter or should I just suck it up?
Thanks for the help in advance.

you can try stuff like clear bra, they make stuff for fog lights.
www.stoneguard.com (they make good stuff, kind of expensive though, alot of people from audiworld, my last home, use their stuff.)
http://www.clearbra.com/ (x-pel) has good stuff too.
these are the two popular brands/place i know of when i was with the audi family.
good luck.

I don't know. That's why I decided to drop the foglights on mine, because I knew within a month I'd have them both busted and I wouldn't really be able to do anything about it.
I used to have pieces of Lexan I had molded with a heat gun to put over some PIAA foglights I had, but it didn't really work out too well, because the Lexan got really sandblasted in no time, and it looked like crap afterwards.

This apparently only occurs when you leave the fog lights on while the vehicle is sitting still. There is not enough air flowing over the lights to cools them, which results in the burns. Best way to prevent this is to simply turn the fog lights off while the vehicle is not in motion.

I hate to rain on your parade...but do fog lights really add value other than appearance? I only hear of complaints about them.
A high school buddy of mine is a cop -- once told me that at night, he'd always notice a car coming at him with fogs more often than one without.
