Help: Address Book locked w/ PIN on used TSX
I bought a used 06 TSX last month and the address book was locked with a PIN. I didn't notice until after I left the dealer (out of state). Do I have to take it to a dealer to have the PIN reset or address book reset, or is there some way to do it myself?
Thanks for any help!

6MT or Death
Well if that's the case then you need to go through the pairing process with you phone. During that process you'll be asked to set up a specific code for your phone. All the necessary steps are in the manual.

Isn't there a way to reset the system from diagnostic mode? Would this erase the pin? It should erase the contents of the address book, too, so you don't have to delete them one by one.

Yes it does. It will not ask unless YOU set it up.

Bearcat posted this in the TL forum when I asked about clearing the address book and removing the splash screen hack:
"Don't you just put you original/OEM Navi disk in --> do the Map/Menu/Cancel routine --> Find the Navi "Upload" or "Update" button and reload from the original?"
Holding Map/Menu/Cancel together for a few seconds puts the system into diagnostic mode. I'm not sure exactly where the upload button is (I aven't done this yet) but what it will do is basically reboot the system.
Make sure you have your radio & NAVI anti-theft codes before doing this in case you need to enter them afterwards.
Search the TL forum. There's more stuff there about NAVI hacks, patches, and easter eggs.
I just noticed you're in Raleigh. I'm in N Ral. Do you ever go to any of teh local Honda/Acura meets?

Here's the link on resetting the Navi on the TL I asked another member. I don't know if this will work w/ a TSX.
