It doesn't sound too bad depending on condition. I'd only be interested if it was the 6mt, but that's me. Is this a CPO car?

Hello.

Welcome, if you do get a TSX, you'll be very happy.

http://www.cars.com/go/search/search...=&aff=national
Looks like your deal is right about average.

I can see better deals, I can see worse deals.

I see one here that's a 2004 with only 47,000+ miles on it for $15,500.
I see another here that's a 2004 with 74,000+ miles going for $16,900.

Quite a difference really.

It's not just miles and the year, it's what kind of miles.
Condition of the car, maintenance, all sorts of stuff.

I can't say if that's a good deal or not, but it's not a bad one.
Seems pretty average really. Drive the car, check it out really closely.
If you like it alot, I say buy it. There is a chance you can find a better
deal though if you do some searching.

i would say if its ceritfied preowned and the acura dealership is treating you well go for it! CPOs got a 7 yr/100 mile powertrain warranty from acura so you cant really loose.

to clear up what they mean by CPO
certified pre owned- inspected and warrantied by acura

if its a CPO id hit it with 15k!

You didn't mention if this is at your price point. If you can go a little higher, I'd suggest looking for an 05. Way too many tales of woe on this forum from 04 owners for me to even suggest considering one. And I see you're interested in an auto. Smart move if you're considering a car with that many miles on it.

Location has allot to do with it too (supply and therefore pricing). Not knowing were you're located, any advice here will be generic. High resale is a well known advantage of the TSX, but nothing is worth more than someone will pay for it. I'd suggest looking around some more, compare asking prices, and decide what you're willing to pay relative to that. Any non-Acura dealer that's selling a TSX most likely got it one of two ways. Either a trade or at an auction. And either way, he's almost certainly in it for short money. If you like the car, make a lowball offer. Remember, when you make a low offer, as long as it's not insulting, the worst than can happen is a seller won't take it. And you can work from there. Again, remember, that when buying once you make an offer, you can always go up (but once your offer is on the table, it's unlikely a seller will go down from there).

Hello,
The vin should be on both fenders and on the hood. As others have suggested, get a cpo and get a 05 and newer. Good luck
