I've tried not breaking them in. And without breaking in, the stopping power is about the same as OEM pads and they eat through the rotors pretty quick. Once you break them in, braking is improved a lot and you don't have to use too much force to stop, thus making your rotors last longer.

So yes, do break them in.

It's recommended - so yes. Brakes are too important to not bother following advice from their manufacturer.

I have 'em, too. Just follow the simple break-in instructions.

Go to an empty parking lot and do the 6-10 40-35 stops
and 3-5 50 hard stops.

I just installed mine last week, first knew i needed to brake in, now braking is really grippy and responsive.

I just put these on today with my new rotora slotted rotors and did the 30-40 and hard brake till stop. After the 3-4th one I saw something that looked like smoke coming from all my wheels. hope this is normal.

^^ That's alright. Just remember to drive around to cool the rotors and brakes down. If you overheat them too much, you will have to bleed your brake fluid a bit.
