hawaii owners

A friend of mine just brought their TSX from NY to Hawaii. Unfortunately the navi doesn't work there..........help!

I think you need to get Hawaii's NAVI disk so it can work. I'm not sure tho.

Say the navi did work here. Would you guys still drop an extra 2 grand to have it? I'd have to say I'd be tempted just to have the nice features, but it'd be tough since you can get a nice set of mods instead.

Just to clarify. The touch screen navi units in the MDX, TL and TSX don't work here because nobody mapped our streets for the DVD-ROM. There has never been a problem catching the GPS signals here. The new RL system works fine and our roads are on this DVD.

XM needs a "line of sight" to the satellite over the west coast. Because of this we cannot catch the signal due to the curve of the earth.
