Hate To Do This, But What Are The Advantages of TSX Over Accord & Vice Versa?
#41
You should also ask in an Accord forum while they all got an Accord before TSX. I bet you they'll all say "DAMNIT, I WISH IT WAS OUT AT THE TIME" or "I WISH I CAN AFFORD IT" .. just a guess. but asking here is not gonna help cuz we all love the TSX.

What I meant by 16 year old = Accord Coupe MT is that he's 16. Why buy a 4 door sedan. If I were 16, and had the oppurtunity to enjoy a new car, I'd be in either a RSX or an Accord 6MT. There both sportier than the TSX and probly alittle more fun.

Why bother with rubbers..go fullmetal...chicks that appreciate Acura are "classier" so maybe safer...for now
What is "jailbait" anyway ??? new word to me

first off, USE RUBBERS!! the world doesent need anymore "under 18 mothers"!!
i thank you for this!
second, "jailbait" is when your over 18, and you pork a girl under 18. this is illegal, and can cause you to go to jail for it!!

Yeah, I went back and edited that post encouraging him to support the condom industry. I'd feel really bad if that kid became some ho's "baby-daddy" because of my advice. He'd have to sell his TSX to make the child support payments, and that's no good.
Actually in a lot of states, the age is lower. In Arizona, it's 18. I think in Arkansas it's 14, but it drops to 12 if she's not your sister.

I was actually going to get a TSX this coming weekend, but after discovering this site & all the troubles, have decided to keep my '98 Honda Civic Ex. It's in great condition, only 71k miles, but I was sort of bored with it. I have to admit that I've NEVER had any problems with the Honda, no work on it other than the scheduled maint. I recommend you go with the Honda, but like others say, get a used one.

Between these, I choose the TSX. I would never consider the 4 dr Accord as the arse is ugly as heck, but th 2dr isn't bad.
For a first car for a 16 year old, NEITHER. Have your parents get you an RSX that's 1 year used (heck, even new!). Much much cheaper. Less stressful to worry about. And for a single, young, college-bound student, actually more practical (the hatch is an absolute lifesaver - I had an Integra hatch). It's also quite fun, and an incredible value.

Kudos to you for even considering your parents' financial burden on this new car. I'm sick of seeing rich spoiled kids who want this and that and don't consider where the money will be coming from to pay for it. Will you also be working to help with the montly payments or is it going to be strictly from your parents?
Both are great cars as everyone mentioned, and yes, I'm biased towards the TSX, but it is also more expensive and I believe, more expensive to insure. Also, keep in mind that you're only 16 years old and I'm sure you're going to be a safe driver, but there's always that chance of getting into an accident, either by your fault or by someone else and I can assure you that having a new car damaged hurts even more and also the TSX has expensive parts to replace vs the Accord. Unless you're dying for a sedan, I'd also consider a late model Integra or RSX...both a lot cheaper and prolly fits your demographics better. A Used car is always a smart choice as a first car.

kids......god give me the patience. i'm gonna get catty here :ghey:, so bear with me.
you want to drive a manual as a noob with a tsx?
you want to know how much a tsx can be bought for? use the search button.
you want to know the differences between the two? test drive 'em. if you aren't legally allowed to, go with an adult and have them drive. also, there are websites that compare cars for you (www.acura.com).
lastly, if you don't feel you deserve a nice car, get a ford.
seriously, stop making southern californians look bad. that's my job........bitch.
