Hamp oil filters
Short of going to Japan, does anyone know of any vendors in North America that are able to get the toyo roki Hamp oil filters (made in Japan). I'm not interested in the tennex Hamp oil filters (made in US).

or the K&N, or the Mobil 1, or the Purolator, or the Honda OE, or...... you get the idea. Everyone has a favorite, though I've never seen (or heard) a reasonable explanation why one is that much better than another (within reason) aside from anecdotal urban myths or obscure (and in my opinion often questionable) research.

Every oil filter in the world has lots of holes in its filter media to allow just about anything through. Just about every filter in the world will give you the same useful filtration. Go ahead and post your link from www.filterx.com showing that filterx is 10 times better than filtery that you get at www.filtery.com along with its graph that shows that it's better than filterx. They're all useless.
I use K&N because it has a 1" nut on the back so it's always easy to get off, even if I overtighten it and don't put a little oil on the rubber seal before tightening it. I also don't have to use one of those stupid filter wrenches that never works and probably won't even fit in the tight space that our filter is in.
