fyi... it's not my car..but i know what the significance of the #2 is.

it's a chinese supserstitious thing.. the number "2" in chinese implies good luck and that good things will come easy to you...

also with the # 8.,, it implies good fortune....

 

i never heard of the #2 thing, but i do know chinese love 8 and 168. if u see bunch of 8.. 99.9% chinese...

by the way.. personalized plate never do for me.. dont like plate thats too easily memorized by other people...

haha...my whole family's lisence plate has 8s in it......LOL.... we wanted ALL 888 but, sadly, now we have, 887, 888, n 889........hahaha.... i am 887!! yr of the 87 baby!!

I think most of the buildings in HK has NO stories that are level 4, 14, or any number associated with 4......and even the chinese mall parking here in Richmond, it goes, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6......hahhaa.....NO 4!!

My cousin once got a lisence plate that was like jkl 4444 or something like that. Scared the shit out of her. She them custom ordered one that was "9988".
I dont think it will make a difference personally. It's just a plate with imprinted #'s. The only reason 4 is bad is because it "sounds" like death. But that's about it. Similarity in sounds.

My thing is... just because you have the #8 anywhere doesn't mean too much. Otherwise... everyone would be rich that had the #8 anywhere. lol
My mom takes this stuff way too seriously. Her office space always has to be suite #8 and she always moves on the 8th of the month at 8am. This is a little excessive if you ask me. I highly doubt it will make a difference to the smoothness of a transition if she starts a move at 8 or 9am.

dislike 4 and love 8 are just for Cantonese speaking Chinese. In Tornoto, some condos are also missing level 4, 14, 24...etc. When we were looking for house, we skipped all the hosue with street number 4, 14, 24... It is not because I dun like the number! What concern us is the resale value of the house! In Toronto even white guy will try to avoid those street number since they will afriad the future buyer of their house will be a Chinese!

i work with a chineese guy that was telling me something like that.
he said every number means something, i dont know exactly which number mean what but i know 4 is bad, i think 8 is like money, 2 is like quick or easy..6 was something else good too..i forgot tho.
but anyway that is kinda weird. supossedly they really take it seriously.
