grrr...valeo ultimates....

I bought 26 and a 16 blade from auto strauss. The blades indicate on the package by model number some numbers with b, apparently the lady said they'll work with the 06 tsx. Anyway. I go an install it and realize that the passenger blade doesn't fit, its extra long by an inch so i can't fit with the window and sticks out over the top. I thought they sold me 17's by accident, but it was 16 inches. The problem was tha the hook area was not in the same spot as the 06 hook, its slightly off which means the blade is off adjusted to the left by 1/2 an inch, causing the problem.

Did i buy the wrong blades or do the 06's just don't take valeo ultimate wipers?

Try the Bosch Icons. I have used Valeo wipers in the past and the Bosch out performs them hands down. I have a 26 on the drivers side and a 16 on the passenger side with no problems.

Totally agree, Bosch

I'd return the Valeo you may have a defective part because 26" and 16" is right.

I'm using valeo ultimate 26 and 16 right now with no problems. They may have sent you the wrong size, or put the wrong size in the box!

I think I paid 24.99 for the drivers side and 20.99 for the passenger side. You can find them at pretty much any auto parts place (Advance Auto, Auto Zone etc...). The price may seem a little steep but they are well worth it. The Icon's last longer than any other blade I've used and if you live up north you don't need to buy winter blades, they work just fine and don't freeze up.

Bosch Icons

I know this is redundant, but I want to make sure I am hearing everyone right. I had the exact same problem with the Valeos, in that they stick out over the edge of the windshield on the passengers side. I want to try the Bosch Icons, but my auto parts places don't carry the 26 or 16, though they carry other sizes (I've checked all the Advances and Pep Boys around). So if I want the Bosch, I have to order them online, and don't want to have to return them.

So my question: Do the Bosch Icons fit the 06 TSX? From what I've read about this issue, it seems there might be a size difference between 05 and 06, so I'd love to hear from someone who definitely has an 06 and knows that they fit.

Thanks!

I'm with tl22312 - I have an 06 and i think the OEM wipers suck - i bought replacement inserts from the dealer and they still squeeek and jump on the glass. i've tried everything, cleaned everything with alcohol, used rain-x, etc. I even tried generic wiper blades from Pepboys and they wouldn't clear the wiper arms.

I'm taking my car to the dealer on tuesday for a non working seat heater and am going to have them look at it.

I wouldnt mind buying Valeos but I dont think i should have to - my car has 13,000 miles and I've been through a few sets of dealer inserts. Very irritating.

I have been using Bosch MicroEdge Excel for a while, and they work pretty good, but I have been wanting to try the Bosch Icons. Glad to hear people like them.
Problem is most of the local auto parts stores either don't carry them, or they don't have the correct sizes.
I will have to try AutoZone. The closest one is about 10 miles away.

OK, I finally found a local store that stocks the Bosch Icons in the 26 and 16 inch sizes for the 06 TSX. I put them on tonight, and they actually do fit. It's VERY close on the passenger side, but it works for the most part. They are not perfect- for some reason the right edge of the passenger side blade sits a bit above the windshield when at rest, but when they are moving it cleans nicely. There is a small spot between the two blades at the bottom of the windshield (maybe 2 by 4 inches) that doesn't get wiped, but it is not really in my field of vision. And the key, is that they DON't CHATTER or SQUEAK. I'm finally happy!

I hope that this price includes the wiper blade assembly, and not just the refill.

There is no refill on the Icons. It is the whole wiper. It's hard to explain and I don't have a picture of them to post. Do a quick Image search for Bosch Icon Wipers on Google and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yeah, so it is the whole blade. That's alright then. Sometimes I'm happy to have the 04 wiper blades.

i put on bosch icons as well but the driver side doesnt wipe in one specific area. i went out and exchanged them and the same thing happens. its right in the middle of the blade blow where the passenger side wiper reaches. if anyone had this or knows how to help fix this please tell me because it is getting annoying.

The bosch and valeos are meant for 04-05 TSXs. The 06 and 07s have different wiper arms and you'll have to buy the refills from your dealer.

Try flexing the blade in the opposite direction help flatten it. Be careful not to break them.
