Got an ETA!

My wait is almost over... down to 5 days and counting... seems like this has taken forever!

Struck a deal for my DGP/Auto/Navi in mid-December. At the time the dealer thought he'd be able to do a swap for one in the pipeline but that didn't pan out. So he just tacked mine on to his next order from the factory.

Build date was 2/14, and I got a VIN about three weeks ago. Got a call this week that my ETA was 3/31... this Friday. WooHoo!

Seems DGPs are pretty scarce - it'll be nice having something a little unusual.

Will post pics when she arrives. Gonna be a long week...

Bump - it's here! Rolled off the truck this morning. I can pick her up Wednesday PM.

Dealer says it's the first DGP he's seen. Looking forward to seeing what she looks like.

DGP is truly a rare color. Yours will be the 3rd that I've ever even HEARD of. Please post some beautiful pictures!

Congrats! As the happy owner of a 2004 TL in DGP, I think you will lover the color. As I waxed her on Saturday I couldn't help but think what a fine color DGP is. Shines up very nicely and one more bonus the color is very rare.

There was a dealer around here that had a DGP/6MT/Navi while I was looking for a 6MT. Thought that was probably one of the rarest combos out there probably, but I wanted a different color in non-navi.

Cool! You're the only other DGP owner I've "run into" here... good to hear that you like it. Since I ordered the car in December I've been seeing more and more of them on the road... but have yet to see one in green.

Trouble is, the next two days promise to seem as long as the last three months.

Woot! Woot!

It's here... as in here in my driveway, that is

Was getting towards dark when I made it to the dealer last evening for the pick-up, but the car was parked inside and at least under the showroom lighting the DGP looked really sweet... can't wait to see her in the sunlight.

Driving impression after the 12 mile trip home... I love this car. For the first time I can recall I can't wait to drive to work this morning.

Our weather hasn't been the best lately, but it's supposed to be sunny Sunday. Will definitely post some pics this weekend.

BTW - for anybody Acura shopping in South Central PA, let me post a "two thumbs up" for Apple Acura in York - these guys were a class act all the way. This was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I can recall. Highly recommended.

I will. Took a couple this evening, but the sun was pretty low on the horizon (it was after I got home from work). The dark color, along with the pearl effect (which makes the perceived color highly dependent on lighting angle and intensity) makes her a tough subject to do justice to in a photograph.

BTW - as a relative noob here, I take it I can't attach pics to a post... that I need to find someplace to host them and merely include a link?

Correct. Upload on imageshack.us and paste the link into your post.

Congrats on the car!
