Got another TSX loaner....

Just kidding. I was nice to this one.

I took my car in yesterday for the center console light thing, and I see that the loaner has that little bump on the roof. '05.... sweet!!

The car was CG/ebony. Perfect for comparison to my CG/quartz. Long story short: I'm glad I got the quartz. The black gets a LOT hotter in the sun. HUGE difference there.

I don't mean to start up this discussion again, but the SS is still in an unituitive direction. I just threw up my hands and left it in D this time. Oh well.

Differences:

1. [ ][ ]I HATE HONDA FOR MAKING THE '04 AMERICAN TSX THE ONLY ONE EVER WITHOUT HEATED MIRRORS[/ ][/ ]

2. XM radio is kinda cool. And unedited! I was actually shocked when I heard Bushwick Bill (of Geto Boys) say "MF" on the radio! No, I'm not a prude but this is RADIO!! Yeah, so that was cool...

3. The display for the non-navi radio is very different, and I don't think anyone has commented on this yet (I was surprised by it). I actually like it better and I was hoping that with the swap they were doing that I'd get the '05 unit.... but no luck there.

4. The brakes felt WAY more confidence inspiring for some reason. Maybe they've addressed the complaints between MYs. The car stopped RIGHT NOW. I can also make my car stop right now, but the thing is I have to push the pedal down a LOT farther to do so. It kinda felt like the difference before/after you install SS brake lines. Interesting....

5. I didn't try out the power passenger seat because... well, I don't really care about that. Give me the weight savings.

Anyway, a huge amount of changes for only being the second MY of production. I just wish my car had some of that stuff....

One last thought: Why do people who drive my car 20 feet or less feel the need to move my seats? Doesn't make sense to me, but I guess that's the way of the world.

So now we know why Clutch is an angry black man.

I have a non-nav. The loaner was non-nav. The display for the radio/CD/etc. is different.

Hmmm, I'm curious about the differences. Maybe someone can post a pic of their non-navi 05 model center console.

jlukja, who has the 04 non-navi model.

For any distance, I'd rather have them change the seat settings because I'd rather have them driving my car in a good, comfortable driving position instead of taking the risk that they drive into something because they were trying to drive in someone else seat settings.

I have the 05. Definitely no complaints on the brakes yet. I think they're very solid, and have a good quick feel to them.

I still don't see what comfortable has to do with it for driving 20 feet, but...

For example, when I have to move my mom's car. Her freakin' seat is way up to the steering wheel. There is no way I would really be able to maneuver it without changing the seat settings. That's all I meant. I guess if the seat setting is not ridiculous like my example, then they really wouldn't need to.

Point taken. But my seat is alllllllll they way back (I'm tall). Anyone should be able to fit in it.

I can kind of excuse moving the seat forward b/c you're short. Even though you don't need your back to be touching the seatback to drive the car that magical 20ft, it's an easy fix for me to just move it all the way back again. But they change the other settings, too. It's hard to get the seat back to where I like it. That's what bugs me.

maybe you just need to have your brake fluid changed/bled? I've noticed my pedal feels crappy lately, so as soon as it warms up (ie stop friggin snowing) I'm going to give her a change and see if it feels better.
