goodbye my friends....

well my fellow TSX'ers i must say goodbye..... i got rid of the tsx and picked up a used subaru legacy for an amazing price..... the tsx was awsome, i still sometimes miss it, especially the cool navi, also i'm gonna miss trying my best for that 15.1 @90.....

i've still been here, checking for updates everyday, i see the developement for the comptech s/c is done, and 244whp is awsome, but i still don't think that that'll be a 13 sec car, cause the legacy with 250 hp, 250 tq and awd still can't get 13's from factory, but with a cobb tune and uppipe its doable.... i'll still be signing in too see new developements and add my 2 cents every now and then as i'm a noob at the legacy and don't even know the chassis code or engine code, or decode the vin, so i got to start all over again....

i also have a few stuff for sale, but that'll be in the black market section in a few days, or pm me for any questions.....

here are some before and after pics.....

before

after

2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Limited Sedan
Volk LE37T 18x7.5+48
STi Pink Lowering Springs
STi Tranny Mount
Perrin Turbo Inlet Blue
GFB BOV (should arrive thursday)
some highlights of the mods already on the car

some of you say the car at the chicago meet, and if its all cool maybe i'll be there next meet too.... whenever that'll be..... btw, i had hondata and for thoes 04 owners that still don't have it, shame on you.... your losing out on a great thing.... i got hondata in april with about 25,000 miles on it and sold the car at 45000 miles never ever had anything go wrong or seem to be wrong from the ECU so i did a 20,000 mile test on hondata and i would redline quite a bit, so all worried, don't be and my dealer never knew anything about it.... still has no clue about it....

Are those Rota Subzero's on the TSX?
If so, what size are they?

Never mind, see the mod list in your sig.

Any reasons for the switch? How you like your new subaru? Maybe you can do a short comparo or review later.

Evidently the Legacy motor has much better airflow internally than the WRX STi motor, so many will put a Legacy GT motor into a WRX STi and an upgraded turbo for some massive power. I wouldn't go buy one now, but they do look interesting.

Sweet ride! I considered a used GT too but I wanted the fold down rear seat... Wagon would have been the way to go, but all the GT's were a little out of my range.

Good luck with it, enjoy the boost!

When I had my WRX I lived at www.nasioc.com and www.subydude.com

What price did you get it for? My dad just traded in his '99 legact GT. I sure loved that thing! But i also like the '06 VW passat he picked up. The sport mode sure seems cool to me!!
The new GT sure looks awsome. Have fun with that thing.

thanks for all the complements fellas......

yea that was one of the reasons that i bought this legacy, the white exterior/black interior (reminds me of ALL TSX's in toronto, lol) and gunmetal volks with polished lip.... i couldn't say no, and the tsx had 45,000 miles and running out of warrenty, and i had a reoccuring clutch pedal issue, either creakes, squeaked, or felt notchy..... that was reocurring for about 1.5 years, so i didn't wanna worry about it.... plus, the price i got the legacy i couldn't say no..... $22,900 including all mods done my previous owner, including volks

That's it?! WOW! You got a great deal for that car....I wouldn't have passed it up either. Good decision!

hahah... i remember that ride too, i remember coming in the other enterance of IKEA and when seeing Mr. Chads accord and TSX i floored it to get there and you could hear me coming, as well as when we were going to RAMS where you were also on the gas and i could hear your comptech, that was sweet, and thanks for the ride in your TSX..... and who knows if you have another meet maybe i'll drop by and ask for a ride again.....

and i will do a short comparo soon, but quickly, speed, power, goes to the legacy, brakes (seriously, i'm not joking) goes to TSX, steering, well heavier feel on the legacy which i love, but better feel of the road on the TSX, interior, well i had navi, so i'm gonna say TSX on this one, exterior, well debatable, but depending if i washed the TSX and the right view TSX, but the legacy is just as good looking so its a toss up, handeling, well legacy has awd and turbo, but TSX had felt faster in corners, especially entry speed, and most important, driving experience, TSX wins, except for when the turbo kicks in, its SO addicting and i can't keep the revs unnder 3000 when the turbo is in full boost..... well i'll have a better comparo later

the legacy isn't a downgrade, but i wouldn't say an upgrade either, except in power and traction..... and yes not alot of people know what it is, although my hondata tsx and lightweight rims running 235's, and injen was a mini sleeper too, ran a 15.163 and that suprised a few at the strip, considering there were like 5 jap. cars there...... and on the road not a lot would expect me to be alongside them in a tsx, especially on a launch where i was killing a few quicker cars thanks to the 235's, like i beat a friend in a spec v with i/rh/e/motormounts didnt see that coming......lol

i'll stop by very regularly as i still got TSX in my blood, and for thoes that donn't know, the legacy is a very good car, and 2.5 H-4 Tubro same as Sti motor minus different turbo, manifold, and pistons...... so think about that.... plus with 1400$ in mods i have 300hp, so can't complain about that.....

i know a few 04 owners traded, but most i saw got 06's so..... thats not too bad..... and i'm already a member on legacygt.com

Yeah, I'll definitely remember checking my mirror b/c I thought you were right up on me, but I had a few hundred feet... as we were turning to go to RAMS... LOL... that was just amazing to hear your old TSX.

Good luck with the Legacy... that is definitely a nice car. Not sure when I'll be back to Chicago b/c my family is moving to VA Beach, but I'm sure I'll be up to see MrChad too.

Take care man!!
