Front Rotors for 07 TSX

Wow, trying to determine pads and rotors for this car is a real adventure. The correct Raybestos AT rotor is 96795 which is 11.81" OD. However, Acura calls for 45251-SEA-J01 which is 16" OD. Does the 07 TSX really have 16" OD front rotors? I don't have the car here so I can't measure it.

Acura shows the exact same caliper set from 2007 through 2012 but they show a front rotor change starting in 2009. Go figure.

I'm afraid you're way overthinking this. First, you haven't said what you're trying to accomplish. If it's OE equivalent parts, there should be no problem in finding rotors and pads. Just go to whatever site (or store) you want to do with business with and look up (or tell them) what you need. For example, when I replaced the rotors and pads on my wife's 07, I searched around for good replacements parts, settled on Amazon to supply them, and ordered the stuff. I used Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic pads ($26 for the rear, $33 for the front) and Centric Rotors ($28 each front, $17 each rear). This was 18K miles ago and everything has provided good service for around$150. It's not rocket science. Oh, the front rotors are the same for 04-011 (4 cylinder models), the rears for the first and second gen. are different. One other thing, these are the cleanest pads I've ever come across in 40 years of owning disc brakes.

Thanks for the quick answer. I already have the front Raybestos AT rotors which are 11.81" OD. I became concerned when I saw Acura is calling out p/n 45251-SEA-J01 (16"). Front brakes are pulsating which may be simply worn pads or sticky slide pins. But, if the rotors need to be resurfaced, I would rather install new ones. Car has 76k miles with all original pads/rotors.

You can see that I posted a similar thread asking about pads. I am only looking for OE equivalent. This isn't my car so I don't have the luxury of keeping it in my garage why I mess around with parts. I have talked with 6 Acura dealers. They are evenly split with 3 saying the front pads are 45022-TE0-999 and 3 saying 45022-TE0-A60. It appears that these pads are exactly the same with both coming with the V-springs which were not part of the original design. Three dealers say the A60's were replaced with the 999's and the other three say the opposite. SB 09-054 did the upgrade to TE0-999 on the 09-10 models only. I know I can get better pads at a lower price, eg Akebono ceramics, but my niece wants to stick with Honda brand.

Maybe I am over thinking it but when Acura can't tell you what part to get and you know about the troubled history of the Accord/TSX brakes, it creates doubt.

Wagner ThermoQuiet pads

I'm chiming in late here - but maybe useful for someone searching for pad recommendations.

I want to echo Simba's positive experience with the Wagner pads. Clean and quiet and (I think) a touch better performance than stock.
