Front Jack Point

Has anyone used the factory jack that comes with the Tsx to lift the car from the front jack point? My car is too low to go up my Rhino ramps so I'm thinking of trying to lift the car from the front jack point (there's an arrow pointing to the metal bar piece) and placing it directly onto the ramps. Has anyone tried this?

Your trunk's factory jack isn't going to do squat there, even on a lowered car. That point is the right place to drop a shop jack under and raise the whole front end to be placed on jack stands, but you won't have enough reach on that tiny wheel jack, which is really only good for swapping out a blown wheel with your spare.

If all you have is the factory jack, you'll have to do it 1 side at a time. Its still possible to do.

Alright, guess I'll have to pick up a floor jack this weekend so I can lift it from the front jack point and put the car on the ramps. The things you gotta do to have a lowered car .. arg. I've been putting off doing my own oil changes because of the ramp issues but that's it I'm not paying the stealership anymore.

ok here is what I do cause my car is to low for a jack also. I have two pieces of wood. each one is a 1 1/2ft long 2x10. put each one width wise in front of each tire pushed right up against it and slowly drive up on it. you can then fit your jack under neath the car.

What a great and simple idea
