front brake pulsation

front brake pulsation
Dropped the car off for my 20k service & got a call within 1 hour from the service department that they are felling "pulsation" on the front brakes and are recommending a costly "rotor resurfacing" service. I have not heard of rotars requiring resurfacing at 20000 miles. I'm not a heavy braker, I don't feel any pulsations and the pads are in good shape. Typical service up-sell? Any thoughts? The other up-sell pitch was Fuel Injector Cleaning 100 bux.
Thanks!

Some TSX's have experienced problems with the rotors. I started getting vibrations at 12k miles. Because it is a known problem area, I think some dealers are fixing them for free (mine did.) If you have not noticed it I would say that IF there really is a problem it isn't serious enough to spend money on. If the dealer will fix it at no cost, let 'em work on it. Otherwise, say "No thanks."
Also, I have never heard of injectors needing cleaning at 20k miles. If you burn quality gas, they will probably never need cleaning.
Overall, looks like it may be one of those dealer scams. If you are concerned about the rotors, and he won't fix them for free, I would contact another dealer(s) and see what their position is on the situation.

I tried to take my car into the dealer around 24 and they denied me the service. I have ~ 44000 and Im on the same pads/rotors. Is my car still within warranty to try and get this service performed?

At 20,000 miles, it should be done for you free of charge, at least for the first time. At least one person has even got a full rotor and brake pad replacement under warranty for this problem.

Tell the dealer this should be free and covered under normal warranty as stated in "TSB 07-21". I had to heckle with the dealer until they finally acknowledged it and performed the service for free. If you ended up paying for it contact the dealer and aks for a credit of some type. If they don't agree, contact Honda Customer Service and explain the situation.
Many thanks to jlukja for saving me a few $$$.

Braking technique and driving conditions have a lot to do with this. Brakes are a maintenance item are are not specifically subject to warranty replacement (the TSB in this case trumps this truth). Don't plan on getting them replaced again unless it happens within 10K. Then you'll have a case.
Actually, if you want to know more about the problem and why it happens, read my article here:
