Foglights

Hello,

I have a 2008 TSX, and have tried installing a plug-n-play HID H11 kit, but cannot get them to turn on. I've tried removing the DRL fuse, but they still won't turn on... anyone know if there is something else I'm supposed to do?

Thank you :-)

what do DRL's have to do with fog lights?

double check your wiring and polarity.

check your fog light fuses.

DRL's run off of the high beams if anything, not the fogs.
and not in America.

Canadian?

When I unplug the original Halogen bulbs, plug in the HID kit, and start the car, the screen says DRLs OFF.

Yes it's a Canadian vehicle...

The kit has groves that match up to the original headlight plug on the car itself, so there is only one way to plug it in.

So I just checked my fuses... and plugged in one of the original foglights and it comes on, while the HID does not.

I checked the iring as well... there is a red and blue wire coming from the HID bulb... you then plug those into the matching ends, which then runs to the ignitor, the to the ballast, then plugs into the original halogen plug... still nothing.

I have HID fog and it should not affect DRL. When you see the blue DRL night on the dash, it means you turn on the light but NOT the stock headlight. Then you need to press the Foglight button (not sure if you have 05/06, differences will be a button or stalk) to on to make it work.

If your fuse and original halogen works, then the HID should work UNLESS the new HID kit is broken.

Here's a picture of an e-bay HID bulb. (This MIGHT not be H11, just an example)

Depending on your HID kit, usually I see replacement HID bulb comes in 3 wires, with red, black, and a regular plug wires, I have no idea how this is going to work.

If you look at this picture, you will see 3 wires coming out from the HID bulb, red and blue goes to ballast and you will see there's a red/black wires w/ a bigger plug in the middle, only use that to connect to the wires looms on the right, that is the electric wires loom.

If you have 06 that comes w/ foglight, all you need to do is plug n play. LMK what's the error.

you need to make sure the polarity of the connections between wires are correct (positive to positive and negative to negative). you can tell this by looking at the color of the cables, they should match.
