Foglight question

Ok, i know OEM foglights have been discussed before.
My question is about aftermarket foglights. I didn't get much when i tried to search.

After reading about some of the OEM foglights, some here say that they are 5% functional, and 95% looks.

Does anyone here actually have foglights that are a lot more functional than oem and are affordable?

I've gotten stuck a few times, and just literally couldn't even see 25 feet in front of me. Usually when i look down that street, i can see about 10 blocks down. But that night when it was foggy as heck, i couldn't even see the next intersection's traffic light. It was pitch black and smoky. Kinda scary. Lets not mention the time where i was driving through the smokeys and when it got dark and heavy fog... it was kinda scary. So i can actually say that i actually need them.

Like i said above, i'm looking for ones that have real functionality. Other than just for looks. Affordable would be nice. Fitting into the OEM spots would be an even bigger plus! Anyone here have ones like those? Pics?

thanks

I just bought my TSX w/ the Factory foglights... the only down side to them are that they are 795 USD Dealer installed. Anyway, I will try to have pics up. But it is kind of like the IS300 setup HID headlights and Yellow Foglights. You can see them, but I think they are mainly there to help out when it rains and what not because it helps you see a little better giving that the color is yellow and stuff.

Did you already swap the bulbs? I thought the factory bulbs for the fogs were white.

I have PIAA amber fogs on mine, throws a nice wide pattern, I have an independant switch so I can drive with just them if need be (usually them + parking lights) in the fox. The idea is also that the pattern is short and projects low so you don't get a lot of bounce back.

They also look sweet! (HIDs + Amber rectangles)

Nope, They are yellow(not like extreme yellow, but yellow enough over the HID's) and I just got the TSX yesterday so no swapping was done.

Hows about pricing? Were they expensive? And do you have any pics of what they look like installed?
Also... got a link?

Will a set of these (see link) PIAA foglights fit the stock opening for our foglights? That's would be sweet if they did.

IMO I don't really like those rectangular PIAA's... they sorta look cheap. Whatever your choice, I'd make sure it's a dichroic bulb/lens and not something with an H11 or similar. Dichroic's are brighter and will last alot longer. I'd suggest Catz or Raybrig...

Hmm... maybe these fogs will fit directly into the bumper.
Hopefully without modification?
Anyone tried it?
