Floor mats
does anyone have the caramel floor mats? Just curious as with my dress work shoes and other shoes the interior door panel gets black scuff marks that are a pain and come out easily with one of those mr clean sponges.. im just curious if the caramel ones show the same marks.. i havent seen a tan interior with black mats to know if its a decent combo

My Mom had the caramel all season mats in her '06 Civic. After a week they were covered with black scuffs/marks/dirt etc. which did not clean off easily.
Changed them out for black ones (they look fine with the ivory int. IMO) and she's much happier.

I have the "caramel" mats and wear dress shoes. I'd say they do mark but it's not very dark. I mean I got the all weathers because the things get dirty, it doesn't bother me much. I had the black all weathers in my old TL and those got marked and dirty too, so it's a toss up. I take them out and hose them off when I wash my car anyway.
Only thing I don't like about them is that it's incredibly hard to get the grommets over the hooks in the floor.

Well I have had the caramel mats in my '08 for only a week and have not noticed a problem. Then again, it has been raining just about every day, which is why I got the mats in the first place!
Seriously, when I was putting the mats in, I thought about how nice and "formal" the black mats would look with the Parchment interior. The light interior can appear bright at times, and the black might help a bit with that.
If you go with the black mats, do post and tell us how they look.

i have a type of clear all weather mats over my stock mats. made of hard vinyl. absolutely awesome. dont know how well they would do with dress shoes that scuff since i got lucky and mine dont scuff.
they are easy as hell to clean too. had them for a year and zero discoloration.

The best way I figured out how to do it is get the front tip of the hook lined up and in the hole a little, and then just push the mat down over it hard.
I know the hooks are plastic and at first I was scared as hell about breaking them, but they are actually tough little bastards.

lol, i didn't even bother hooking the matts to the hooks. they don't move anyways.
the floor mats are gonna get dirty regardless. the ebony ones fade horribly after you use and wash them a few times. but it does the job.
