First oil change
#5
Follow the manual.
I don't know if it's true about the TSX but I do know that Audis often have special
"break-in oil" given at the factory. They've had problems when anal drivers
changed the initial oil *too soon* thinking it was a good idea. Some of them
may have been denied warranty when they later had problems.
Oil today is much better than it used to be. The engine part of cars
are a whole lot better---now the complicated problems are in the electronics and sensors and unusual quality control issues.

We could call it the the RTFM section. About 9K for me for the first oil change and all was (and still is) good. Counting down to oil change #3 currently.

just run good oil (Mobil1 Synthetic) with a good oil filter (Mobil1 Oil Filter), and you'll be good for once every 10,000 miles.
on the other hand, it's not like an oil change every four to six thousand miles is going to hurt your car, and if spending the extra $60 to get an oil change every five thousand miles or so makes my car last a year or two longer, then it's completely worth it.
just my $0.02

metal dust? Probably not for decades
Yes, that may have been the case, years and years ago. Doubtful it is the case now.
If it were---it would be in the manual.
Manufacturing procedures *do* change with time. More oil changes == more environmental waste.
use high quality oil, keep it up, and follow the manual.
