First damage on my new car.

I am sad to say that I received my first paint damage on my TSX. I was following an Accord on the freeway and the Accord drove over a piece of metal looking thing. The thingie flew at me pretty fast, and it nicked the front bumper. It scrapped off a penny sized paint spot just beneath the left front headlight.
I know that it could have been a lot worse, and other people on this forum has had even bigger misfortunes, but I'm just very unhappy at this moment.

Always, always stay 10 car lengths behind other cars.

That sucks.

Makes me think of how I was explaining to a friend of mine I couldn't make a big deal when I was to get my first scratch or door ding, because a car is material, and it happens sooner or later.

Just turned out that while we were going at it together, bottling our wine that one of his rascal boys slammed his car door onto mine and gave me the biggest ding I have until now among my ding collection, right on the belt line, so you know it sticks out like a sore thumb.

"Why you little......!!"
I was thinking of this:

But then I saw this one:

Sad thing is I don't even use the highway that much but I still get shit loads of stonechips on my hood. But I feel sorry for my friend's G35C since he uses the highway to travel west to east and back home everyday. He told me he already needs to repaint his front end!!!

Yep, I hit a broom that the car in front of me kicked up. It dented my bumper and knocked out a foglight cover. Also got hit with some golf ball sized stones from a dump truck right on my hood.

I basically spewed expletives for minutes after both those incidents since my car only has 9600 miles on it. But hey, what can you really do other than accept it?

Actually, if you get the plate number of trucks that are dropping ship everywhere, you should report it to the police. They will send a unit out to stop the truck and either force the driver to secure the load or arrest him. Also, sometimes, if you find out the company that owns the truck, you can get them to pay for damages to the car.

I actually tried to get the company to pay for the damage, however they pretty much said it's not their problem. This was just too insignificant to pursue by any legal means if you know what I mean.

I'm thinking you should be a bit more worried about cutting off a truck and hitting the brakes. He's in a vehicle over two times the size of yours, which I am sure he could've given two shits about.

Somebody must have smashed their door into mine, because I have nice dents on my passenger door. Too bad for the lack of door trim, but I hear these dents are easy to fix. At the time, I was furious. Some people just have no respect for other peoples' property.

I know how you feel.. i work next to a supermarket, so we share the same parking lot, and of course some inconsiderate person happen to hit my door. 3 small scratches right under the handle. Not only that, our whole town is being repaved so theres small rocks everywhere, i have to drive so slow not to kick any up against my paint.
