Finally decided on the 2006 TSX. Good Price?
I finally decided on the 2006 TSX, automatic with nav. The price I got from the dealer is $28,499 or $30500 out of the door. Currently the dealer does not the graphite gray pearl with ebony in stock so I put down a $500 refundable deposit for one that's coming either this week or next week.
Is this a ok price?

Yes that is a good price. Why don't you wait for the color you want though? I wouldn't want to spend that much money on whatever color the dealer says he can get in next week. My dealer didn't have the CG either, so I told him I would go to another state to see if they had the CG. Well, I was driving a CG less than two weeks later from the guy who said he didn't have one. It may not work where you are, but it's worth a shot.

I have the Carbon Gray, except quartz not ebony interior. Ebony gets really hot in the summers, so you may or may not wanna think about it over again. I was gonna wait for ebony because thats initially what I wanted, but when I saw the quarts, which is a pretty dark shade of gray, it looked too good to pass up (dark leather, which isn't gonna burn your butt on a typical socal summer especially since TSX's dont have seat cooling) Your price is great.... Mine was 28,300 something forgot the last two digits, and then 30,870 out the door with free floor mats, wheel locks, and splash guards. You'll love the car!

Thread revive... since I just said this to someone else I'll say it again. You can definitly do better than that price, don't let the dealer take all that money! I just got an 06 w/ Navi, specially ordered in the colors I wanted, for $28,2. Now, I haven't taken delivery yet, so that's base price, not OTD price, but after eating the mandatory wheel locks and splash guards, + $169 dealer fee, I still expect to be OTD for <29, and I told my salesman very clearly that I would not take delivery of it if it had too many 'unexpected extras' to bump the price.
Keep haggling, take the price you just got to another dealer and tell them you think its too high, tell them to beat it and you'll buy the car from them, I'm sure they will. Take that price back to the first guy and play them both to get your rock bottom price. good luck!

trust me on this since I sell them for a living. any discount on a navi 06 tsx is a great discount. we are a large retailer for acura and we have only had 3 2006 tsx navis. they are far and few in between!

You know I did misread his post when I originally replied, thought he was paying $29,5 pretax. Just a minor apology. As for how do I plan on getting out the door for < $29, I'm going to lube myself up completely with astroglide and run as fast as possible once they hand me the key.
</sarcasm> I'll let you know my OTD price tonight when I pickup, and post to the sign-in thread then.

Thank you very much for all your replies.
I picked up my 2006 TSX auto with Navi (carbon gray/ebony) for $28,500 ($30,531 OTD). I cancelled my order with the first dealer since this dealer included tinting and wheel locks (a $300 value) for the same price. It works quite well with my garage door opener and my Razr V3 phone. The iPod works great with the aux port too. So far, I like it very much and no complains. As I told me wife, it is more like a toy than a car.

I gotta imagine, invoice is ~ 25,7 non-nav, or 27,7 nav. If you get a dealer within $500 of that price you're already doing good. I has happy with 28,2 ($500 mark) for my navi, and got some extras out of the dealer to make it worth it. (wheel locks, splashies, trunk tray, mats). Anything else off those prices is cash out of the dealers pocket in and into yours, so congrats, just don't let them sell you the protection package in exchange or some other BS.
