Faster car, TSX or C230 Sedan Kompressor?
Hey guys. Been a bit curious bout this, probably cause someone I know has been talkin a lot of smack, thinkin his C230 Sedan is the shit.
I know the C230 has the supercharger and what not, but pitted against the TSX, (both Auto by the way) who would win?
A low revving "German" supercharged engine vs. a high revving Honda engine..
I don't know.

Hey felixthekat, I go through the same thing. Not to the extreme of "talking trash", but one of my buddies who owns a c230 compressor (coupe) boasts about his row revving "naturally" aspirated turbo engines and claims that it could easily burn the TSX.
I could careless so I don't even bother arguing.

I drive this same engine as the US spec C230K pretty frequently when I rent MB C180s 6speeds in Germany. I would definately give the nod to the TSX when talking manual transmissions.
Because you're both talking automatics. The 230 might have the advantage off the line. The 230s supercharger spools up to full boost pretty low on the rpm scale making it feel more like a V6. That low end torque combined with an automatic vs the TSX whos power doesn't really come on until around 3K with an automatic... it would be pretty close. But there's only one way to find out.
I guess I'd say to the 230K owner. Where's the 230K in the Car and Driver 10 best competition ?
I knew I'd made the right choice in choosing the TSX over the 230K...

Just race him and put him out of his misery.
Man, looking at those 0-60 times, soon we're gona get smoked by a toyota corolla. They're releasing one with Matrix's engine that'll reach 60 under 8 seconds.
