Anyone else feel like when u put the car in reverse and just let off the brake that car goes a pretty fast speed without pressing the gas. i used to have a toyota celica and it crawled in reverse unless i had my foot on the gas.... i dont know if i like it fast or not.....

The TSX is designed to be fast in any direction.

The launch is critical. At least it will be RWD.

Good point. The weight transfer will help load the drive wheels.

lol this thread is teh funny.
neway.
serious note, as the engine warms up it stops running the warm up high rev mode and will lower the revs, if its un reverse or even drive for that matter the car will drive faster mainly for the reason the car wants to keep the revs higherd during idle. once it warms up it will idle lower. the rev program really kicks in when u have it in P or R. the rest is just the engine being cold

My 4runner did that too. It's because of ECU is running in open loop mode while it warms up. So the idle in the engine is a lot higher. For that reason, when you shift it into reverse, the car will really want to go. It feels diferent when you reverse after warming up.
You just never notice it because usually backing up is what you do first. You almost never reverse when the car is warmed up.
