Euro R Kit Question

Is there anywhere to buy the Euro R lip kit without paint? I really want it but I have RBP color and this does not come standard for the kit, so i will have to have it painted. Also, do you have to use the JDM fog light with the '07 kit?

You can get any color and have it repainted, however; there are many imitation kits of all kinds made for the TSX that are not painted. I believe supershyguy (correct me someone) is in the process of making the Mugen lip replica. It shouldn't cost you much more or anymore to have it repainted to RBP.

Yes you do need to use the JDM fogs

that would be an incorrect statement.

he asked about an 07 and with the 06-08 model years the factory fogs work perfectly with the JDM kit

Thanks for the info! That would take about $280 off the final total.

Here's a quick question for everyone: What would you do?

I am debating the JDM Euro R kit but I will have to repaint it which I am not sure of the cost. The kit itself is over $1200 + paint it gets up there.

Also with this Kit I would like the Mugen Grille. This is another $270 without paint.

Does anyone have an idea/estimate of the total cost for this combo with new paint?

Now the other option: Mugen front end.

I was looking at the Mugen Front end for $1165 without paint. However, i believe this comes with the Grille correct?

Not sure of the final prices with paint but we are looking at $1,400 Euro R and $1,165 (without shipping for each) without paint.

If I went the Mugen route, I would eventually get the sides and rear (maybe OEM, maybe Mugen) but I wouldn't do this at first.

What would you do or recommend?

thanks,

It all depends on the look you want. if you really want the mugen look, then you should save for it and get it.....if the euro r suits you fine, then get that. At least with that, you get the whole kit instead of just the front bumper.....you might be able to save some money on the paint of the euro r kit if you sand and prep before you take it to someone to paint....good luck with your decision

the big thing you have on your side is time. when you order a euroR kit it's going to be a minimum of 3-4 months before you'll see it. so you have plenty of time to make the extra money needed to repaint it RBP

if your really wanting the euroR kit and wanting to save as much money as possible contact supershyguy and see if he is planning to do a replica kit. it will cost somewhere close to half what the JDM kit will run you and just like the JDM kit will still need paint

True time will be on myside. However, the money isn't the problem. Well, I don't want to spend a ton of money, but whatever I decide I have the money.

The main thing is, do I like the mugen kit enough to justify spending the more money and how close will the final cost of the JDM kit cost me as compared to the entire Mugen kit. I need to search around and get some paint prices so I can get total prices for each kit.

The time factor comes into play with whether or not to begin by ordering the Mugen Grill. I want this with the JDM kit and can get it anytime. However, I don't want to realize I could/should have got the Mugen Kit, in which I wouldn't have needed to get the Grill.

Ahhhh, decisions!

is there a difference in the euro R sides and rear from the US version?

I was thinking about doing the us sides and rear and just getting the euro R front.
