maybe that cg driver overheard it and was that's why he was so pissed off. still, cutting you off and braking was completely uncalled for.

I would like to publicly admit that I love that "since you been gone" song!

Ahhh......Thats my first step to recovery....

And I totally forgot about my Sublime collection......come to think about it, there has never been a sublime song played in my TSX before......sounds like I got something else to do today....

Usually country but when I get sick of that, I like the oldies and classical music. From time to time, I'll check out some of the rap stuff but I'm usually always country and oldies.

I hate to admit it but Shania Twain is Disc 1... but I don't listen to it.....

The best driving song is "The game feat. 50 cent - How we do" the beat to that song is nuts.

I listen to Lil jon, The Game, 50 cent, Lil Scrappy, Jay-z, R Kelly, T.I. so mostly rap. Since I got the system last week I've been listening to jay-z - big pimpin, Ti feat lil scrappy - I'm a King, and Lil scrappy - no problems alot.

I too listen to Hip-Hop more of the Common, Little Brother, Roots, and Mos Def variety (lately I've been on the Gorillaz though).

The funny thing is - I don't know if anyone here watches the Initial D anime, but once you really get into that - then the music is fun to drive to if you can download it. FYI its a anime about Drifting on the mountain passes in Japan.

Quote: Techno, baby!! Hahaha, naw I'll honestly listen to everything except country. Even classical is nice and relaxing while in traffic. The best is the comedy stations on XM though. Nothing like laughing the whole way to and from work.

Techno, Trance, House and a splash Happy Hardcore... atta boy.

I have a "Driving Music" playlist on my iPod. I haven't updated it in probably a year, but it has the following:

U2 - Beautiful Day
DJ Sammy - Boys of Summer
Phantom Planet - California
Celine Dion - I Drove All Night
Hoku - Perfect Day
Remy Zero - Save Me
Chasing Furies - Thicker
The Killers - Somebody Told Me
Coldplay - Clocks

Some other driving favorites include:

Gavin DeGraw - Chemical Party
Mae - Embers and Envelopes
Finger Eleven - One Thing
Reliant K - Be My Escape
The Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight (esp last half of song)
Jars of Clay - God Will Lift Up Your Head
Eve 6 - Think Twice
Dierks Bentley - What Was I Thinkin' (country, omg!)
Coldplay - X&Y (entire album)
Linkin Park - Meteora (entire album, Hybrid Theory and Reanimation are both good too, favorites are Breaking the Habit and My December)
Grits featuring Jadyn Maria - With or Without You (U2 cover)
Head Automatica - Brooklyn is Burning
Moby - Extreme Ways
Miranda - Vamos a la Playa

During the day, rock is best, at night techno-dance-electronica is it for me.

Sammy Hagar's "I can't drive 55" has got to be on my list. Except, I only have an mp3 of it so I can't play it in my TSX when I drive.

the initial d music is probably good for an unwinding drive, maybe after work or something? nothing too hard...

Been listening to a lot of 311 lately, but I usually listen to techno (house, trance, dnb) or punk when I'm out cruising around.

I'm all over the place too, but I guess I primarily listen to punk / post hardcore type stuff (some might call it "screamo")... fav bands include Thursday, Glassjaw, Rise Against, From Autumn to Ashes, Underoath, etc. I also have a love for older hip-hop, so I break out the Tribe, De La Soul, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien / Heiroglyphics, Gang Starr, etc. out on occasion.

Also, not to be a electronic music snob, but I noticed a lot of you blokes calling some of the music you're listening to "techno" --- Being a vinyl DJ, it's one of my pet peeves. I'm not attacking anyone personally... just trying to clarify. Techno is not Sasha & Digweed, BT, or Armin Van Buren... that's progressive trance. Techno is an actual genre of music, and would include artists like Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Function, Mike Dearborn, etc. Calling BT techno is like calling Kelly Clarkson or Avril Lavigne heavy metal...

To add to that already great list list,......I also like The Used, Switchfoot, Story of the year, Something Corporate, Lost Prophets, Jimmy Eat World and,.....Forty Foot Echo (these guys are newer and their CD is AWESOME,.....if you like the aforementioned bands). 50 and Kanye West work too.
