I listen to mostly hip hop, but I mix it up sometimes with R&B or alternative.

Techno, baby!! Hahaha, naw I'll honestly listen to everything except country. Even classical is nice and relaxing while in traffic. The best is the comedy stations on XM though. Nothing like laughing the whole way to and from work.

 

90% of the time its rap 10% R&B/funk

 

Rock music like: Tool, Soundgarden, Godsmack, Led Zeppelin, Mudvayne, Metallica, RATM, A Perfect Circle, etc...and it seems like even XM, they play crap throughout the day and then at night is when good bands come on. I really hate listening to bands like Queens of the Stone Age, The Bravery, and whoever sings that stupid ass "Blue Jeans" song...what the hell ever happened to music that has poetry and lyrics that actually make sense?

Must be getting old...

 

Used to be a rapper/R&B listener...but the music is different now and I think I really sucks. Last good rap album I bought was DMX's "And then there was X"...afterwards his works didn't sound so good, but I think the deaths of Biggie and PAC really is when things changed for the worst. I think if I had to choose an artist today it would be the "G-unit" group but even then at times...

Usually hip hop, but it depends on my mood. Sometimes dance, alternative, rock, whatever I feel like when I scan through the XM

 

all kinds of rock 99% of the time. i do have one rap/hip-hop cd in there, though. gotta represent my socal roots. westsyyyyde!

 

After Biggier and Pac got shot, everything kinda fell off.

G Unit / Eminem is cool, but like you said, only some of their songs are good. They bump their stuff all day on my Sirius radio.

btw my faves are gonna be: old rap (NWA, Puff Daddy, Dre and Snoop, Tupac, Fugees), Eminem, Old Rock (Miss You by Rolling Stones is AMAZING to drive to), and then, thanks to my dad...Blues

 

I'm all over the map. Just depends on my mood. Alternative, Swing, Motown, soul, new wave, blues, folk, Celtic, classical, (old) country, (old) R&B, garage rock, indie pop, old Brill Building pop, instrumental surf, jazz, psychedelia, power pop, straight-ahead rock and roll, punk, reggae, ska, you name it. I can't just limit myself to one or two styles. The only styles I don't play are gangsta rap (hate it with a passion) and most modern r&b as opposed to the old stuff.
