Door protection

The smooth-sided styling of the TSX is very modern and slick looking, but there is no sort of rub-strip to protect the side from other doors and whatever. With the thinner sheet metal that they use on cars these days, has this proven to be a problem for any of you current owners? Any bad experiences with door dings?

i had the same question

I had the same question to the rep when I was thinking of purchasing the car. He told me that the metal was gavanized steel which apparently is stiffer that traditional steel. Therefore, should chip less when someone dings it with their door. But this, this he adds, does not protect you completely. Park at the far ends of parking lots where there are less cars. Less dings and more exercise walking to the mall or stores etc. There are rubber bars you can purchase if you want.

You gotta park in BFE, we've covered this before.

You just need to know where to park, that's all.
