Oh the joy of a new car. So yesterday I back over a cooler and scratch the f*ck outta my bumper. Needless to say I am pissed because the car is a month old and I haven't even made the first payment yet. I punch the trunk right beside the acura symbol and it has my nice knuckle print in it now. Crappy pics from camera phone. I guess i'm going to have the entire bumper repainted and I hope the dents will come out! I'm sure this will get a few laughs.

paintless dent repair should be able to fix that, and those scratches arent that bad, jus sand it and use touch up paint

 

The car should have told me there was something behind me! I was pissed, lost my temper and really didn't punch it that hard honestly. The metal right there is very thin evidently. Yes I can laugh about it because it happened and there's nothing i can do about it now except share my stupidity with others as a source of entertainment.

But yet. I can second this. I have a dimple the shape of my palm right on the top of my trunk from where i closed it really hard with my hand one time. That trunk metal is as thin as tin foil apparently.

Well, I have spent most of the day cleaning my car. I have cleaned just about every square inch of it so its spotless EXCEPT for my dent and scrape. Alas, in the process of cleaning the hood I found two chips about 2 feet ABOVE the clear bra I just had installed last weekend, dead center of the hood..WONDERFUL. *sigh*

I've been procrastinating getting a clear bra installed (dealers aren't too internet-savvy I guess). But thanks to your experience, I might not bother with it anyway. With my luck, I'll get chips beyond the clear bra anyway.

PDR for the dents, touchup paint for the paintchips and a mild respray for the cooler scratch.
