Does the 04 TL have more serious problems than our TSX?
I was just reading the 04 TL board and was pretty surprised by the nature of the problems that some 04 TL's are experiencing, including poorly fitted body panels, vibration of the brakes and steering wheels, poorly wearing leather of the seats, etc. It seems like they are more serious than the TSX rattles and squeaks that we mostly complain about here.
Does the 04 TL generally really have more serious problems than the TSX?

Of course there will be problems it's the car's first year in production of the new TL's. how far is Cleveland from Marysville, OH? maybe you can go to Honda's manufacturing plant and do your own investigating to see how good they're building the TL's over there.

Depends on how you look at it.
body panels - there have been reports of mismatched paint on the TSX panels, and the large gap between the dash and door on the driver's side
vibration - most of this is caused by the tires on the TL, and Acura is putting together a recall to replace all of the tires. the more "serious" issue is in the AT, the top gear may be too tall such that the engine lugs a bit at certain speeds. there have been reports of bad transmissions on the manual TSX
seats - there have been reports of probs with the TSX seats as well
The sad thing for TSX owners is that because the car is so small production in comparison, Acura will deal with probs on the TL before the TSX - consider the tires on the TL as an example since it only took Acura 3.5 months to initiate action on this problem
