I have mine on, but would love to replace it with a custom Japanese plate
And I have no idea if it is illegal to not have the front plate where I am... my guess is that it is illegal. Anyone in my area knows this for sure?

As far as I can tell OR penalty for no F plate is far far less than a photo radar ticket would be. Photo radar in the PDX area is more and more common... and you now have to driver 20mph past a school at 2AM on Saturday night, or risk a photo radar ticket.
So I am playing the risk/reward game.

illegal here in california but I took it off... the fine for "no front plate" is a 10$ fix it ticket, and you will only get one if you park out on the street where meter maids can ticket you.

I've seen a Pacifica, Golf, and Jetta (it was rebadged as Bora) here in town with Euro plates on the back. At a stoplight I asked they guy in the Golf and he told me to go here:

I asked if it was legal here in Ohio and he just shrugged. I don't imagine it is. BUt man that'd be sweet if I could recreate a Euro plate with my license plate number...hmm.
It's illegal here with no front plate, but I haven't had one on since I got my TSX. So far no tickets. I see at least 2 or 3 cars around here with no front plates on each day, so I don't imagine it's something the local cops want to waste their time on.

That may sound stupid but I never saw a TSX with a front plate... Here in Quebec we may pay more for gas but at least we don't have to deal with front plates
Where does the front plate attach? Are there any wholes in the bumper?
Cheers

In the USA, the TSX comes with a license front plate frame/bracket that attaches to your bumper. It's held in place by two bolts that bolt to two clips inside the bumper. So if you remove the plate and frame/bracket it's very hard to see the clips............Looks much nice without all that stuff on the bumper.

I've been running without a front license plate for nearly 2 year on my TSX and have not had any problems with it so far.
Back in Cali, I never parked on the street so didn't have to worry about meter maids writing me up for it.
Here in VA, I'm currently still running my Cali plates until next month when they expire and even when I switch to VA plates, I'm not going to have my front one mounted. Only place I would ever park out on the street is in DC and even then, I hardly ever go there in my car. Usually just take metro.
