I know the 04-05 TSX needed felt on the inside window to prevent from scratching the tint on the TSX and I was wondering if Acura has added it on the 06-07 TSX? I know the MDX and RDX have the felt inside but am not sure about the newer TSX?

I believe my 07 has the felt. I haven't experienced any of the scratches other members have had with their tints. In fact, I had no clue about this problem until I started coming to this forum more.

I have an '07, a couple months old, and I don't think I have the felts. I don't have a tint yet, but I hear a scratching sound fairly often when I close the driver's side window. I'm pretty sure if I had a tint I'd definitely get scratches.

Maybe someone else can confirm. Or maybe I have a defective '07. hope not...

06, not felt, paid for it to be put on with my tint.....well worth it in the long run!

i have an 07 and no felt. i had to pay the tint guy to install it.

^^^ +1. However, I'm not sure if they installed it correctly because my driver side window tint is pretty scratched up, and it's been less than a year...

may want to see if the felt is coming off or misaligned.

the guy i went to said that there is a possibility that the adhesive loses its strength during extreme heat or cold temps, and i think i've read cases where forum members installed felt but the adhesive doesn't stay b/c the surface its sticking to is too smooth (nothing to grab onto).

Man Acura is really jacking the TSX with not putting any felt on their windows. How much are they really saving for not installing this on our cars? Even the Honda Civics have felt, damn Acura/Honda.

Am i the only one that lives in a state that doesn't allow tint on the front windows? I mean, my car has it anyway, but I know its illegal...

07 no felt. Just got tint added and I also had to pay extra for the felt. It's worth it though to protect the tint.

Also, I watched him do it and it looks pretty simple. May want to just but some sticky felt and look into doing it yourself.

WTF! when i got my 07 tinted... they said some b$ about how they couldn't put it on because they needed to remove the door and it would set off some sorta airbag light.. dang it! imma ask them to install it

Is your car stock or has it been tinted and they added the felt while your car got tinted?

Do you guys lose your inner molding when installing the felt? The tint guy that did it took it off and now I see this pink stuff in the door.

In texas, you can have the front tinted to a certain point...I can't remmeber how far...but mine is tinted as dark as legally possible in front... :/

my 07 does not have felt. And when I got it done I talked to the guy, basically felt or no felt it is possible to get scratches. But if you try to keep it clean then maybe you can prevent scratches.

also. another illegal here. Laws suck.

i have a 05 tsx and i got it tinted about a month ago and i already see scratches! the shop i got it tinted at said they never heard of moleskins or felt...

and i called 4 other local shops they all had no idea what i was talking about. What should i do? do you guys think the shop will fix the tint? i havent asked yet

My '04 has scratches on the tint from no felt. BUT they are so faint, the sun has to be coming through at a certain angle to even see them. No one who isn't actively looking for the scratches would ever know they are there. I worried about it at first, but after three years I find it a non-issue.

My 06 passenger window has few scratches on the tint.... other windows no scratches at all

there is a diy moleskin kit from some vendor on this board. you can basically install it yourself if you know how to take off the door panels, etc...

for an tint place NOT to install moleskin...that's pretty crappy of them. they should know better if they've worked with acuras before.
