Difficulty starting my TSX

I had a problem that appeared over the weekend. I'd turn the key to start the engine, the radio would go on, the dash would light up, but the starter would be dead. Silence. This happened to me 5 times. I'd turn the key around, I'd shift the MT from one gear to another. I'd try this several times and eventually she'd start. Sometimes it took 3 tries. Once it took 6. On Monday morning I called the dealer and arranged to bring the car in. Also on Monday, she started up normally 3 times in a row. Also, as it happens, the dealer couldn't find any problems with the electrical or charging system, and no codes showed up on my TSX's computer.

So, has anyone else experienced this?

BTW, I zainoed my precious over the weekend, and she's a beauty even if she's got me nervous at the moment.

You sure you depressed the clutch all the way in?

If you have, then I have no clue. First time hearing this kind of problem.

Good question. The answer is yes, I depressed the cluch fully. I've been driving stick shifts forever.

Does the TSX have an encoded key like my CTS did? meaning it has some kind of resistor in the key?

My understanding is, it does. Since my key eventually started the car, I don't see that this is connected.

I had this problem early on with my TSX - twice. Both clutch switches were bad, upper & lower switch.
