Defective HID lowbeam light design on TSX!
I was wondering if there have been any threads about the poor design of the HID low beam TSX headlights? My headlights have a black line running horizonally which cuts my night vision to maybe 25 feet or less. You can visually see what appears to be a piece of black cardboard (tape, etc,) inside of the light assembly. When I adjusted the beams up to see better, everyone flashed me so I had to lower them back down. It is very weird. When I reported it to Acura Client Services, they said that they would document it but that no one else has complained. In looking at the 2004 TL, there is no black line across its HID low beam headlights. They have obviously fixed the problem but chose not to recognize the TSX defective design. Please, if more people would call Acura Client Services and complain, then maybe they would be forced to recall.

Are you talking about the sharp cutoff line for the lights? if so that is normal for projector style headlights.
you cant really compare the tsx lights to the tl because the tl has bi-xenons (hi beams and low beams are xenons). there is a motor that automatically adjusts the lights when you turn your high beams on. its a completely different design.

omg, it is not a problem. all projector lights are like that. oh, and that piece of "cardboard" which is metal, is there to create the cutoff. if it wasn't there, light would spread everywhere and you would blind people.

lol these threads are funny. You obviously need to learn how to reasearch a car before you buy it. IF its true and you're not a troll which seems more likely.

Omg, ok the tsx headlight are prolly the best acura headlight along with the new tl. Projector headlights are far superior to the reflector xenon headlights which come on the tl 99-03. If you didnt have projectors the down the road allumination would prolly be less.
