debadging question....?

I just purchased my new 06 tsx and i plan on debadging my car on tues. How long should i hold the hair dryer to the emblems untill i can get them off with the floss? And after i remove the badges will it be hard to remove the adhesive residue? what can i use to remove the residue but not damage the paint?
thanks guys.

since the badges are plastic I just heated for 30 seconds or so for each letter. It left most of the adhesive on when I pulled off the badges so afterwards I just went back with some goo-gone and then pulled it off with my nails. If something is tough to remove just heat it again. Be sure to wax at the end. took me about 30 minutes in all.

Just heat it for as long as your patience allows. Then just pull the badges off. After reading some other posts, I did like they did--just rolled and balled the glue residue in my fingers and got rid of it.

You should know that you don't remove the "A" emblem caz of the screws behind it, right?

I debadged just fine... without using any heat. Flossed those things off just fine, then a little goo gone to help me roll off the residue. Just wash and wax the area when you're done if you use a solvent like I did.

The adhesive will come off with Goo Gone or a similar product. When you get all of the adhesive removed, be sure to put a good coat of wax over the area you use any type of solvent on.
