The only reason those badges are back there is for free advertising for the manufacturer. I can understand not wanting to be a mobile billboard for Acura, but I will probably keep mine (the caliper logo appeals to my engineer side).

I prefer just to keep the badges on the car, unless I go through with my Accord Euro conversion.

It's your car, of course but what exactly is the point of taking the badge off? Most folks (except those that really don't know or care about cars at all) will still know it's a Honda/Acura TSX and so many of them will wonder if someone stole the badge. Others will think it just looks silly. My .02.

I almost bought a used GS300... but the guy had debadged it and it had a cigarette burn near one of the visors. The guy didn't have the emblems... so I didn't buy it.

Everyone in my city tells me, "Nice car, it's the new TL right?"

If I shave the badges I can just say yes and not have to explain that it's a TSX, the other new Acura.

Don't give 'em any ideas... they'll get the body filler out...

Next challenge - remove the Honda wording etched into the windows.

Tell me what you use to get it off. I would like to take mine off.

Just realized that I might mess up my tinted windows. :shakehd:

Does the Acura emblem on the trunk come off easy or is it bolted to the trunk?

I think debadging makes the car look so much cleaner.

Never did it to my cars, but I am seriously considering it.

Yep. Use a hairdryer to heat it up and then use some fishing line or some dental floss to remove it from the car. Be sure to put a good coat of wax where the badges were and you're done.

The "A" is bolted on, and the "TSX" and the "ACURA" bits are just there with adhesive.

Well, seeing as how the etched logos are rough areas in the glass, you'd have to grind the entire area around the logo down and repolish it back to transparent. Since glass is quite hard, you'd probably need to use a diamond-based abrasive. All to remove a 3mm high logo. It was a joke.

For those that have debadged their cars, since the "A" is bolted on, do you guys leave it there and just remove the "ACURA" and "TSX"?

Iam into JDM/Euro stuff so I personally would debadge all them emblems and replace them with JDM H's and Euro Accord emblems.

At first I thought this was a good idea. But considering our car is very different from the Euro-R decided against it. The body is the same, but everything else is changed.

I found out yesterday that the Euro-R has LSD.

Leave it on. Debadged are for cars that are fast as hell or at least fast. it comes from the German cars on the autobahn. They take off their badges (factory option) as you don't know if it's a S600 or S320 (for instance) passing you.

Cool - reverse rice. I wonder if BMW will mount 525i badges on your M5?

I've seen reverse rice. I've seen GS 300s with 400 badges. 525s with M5 badges. Hell I saw an old E 320 with a M5 badge. I was like WTF???? I've seen Type-S badges on ever car ever made.
