Dealer lost one of my mats
So here is the deal....I took my TSX in for a detailing at my Acura dealer and when I went to pick up the car they told me that my mats (standard carpet ones provided by acura and my own personal mats that I put on top of those) were still damp so they put them in the trunk. The following day I started getting out all of the mats and noticed that onbe of my personal mats was gone and it happened to be the one used for the driver. The dealer has claimed that they cannot find it. Should I expect them to give me all season floor mats to make up for it or how should I handle this situation?

Ask them to either replace them all, so you don't have uneven wear look or provide you with an equitable solution, like a set of all season ones. That still puts you short a mat, but you decide what you feel is equitable. Then you have to see if they agree. If they tried to replace one (which they would have to order a set anyway), I would argue for the whole set.

The problem is that I got the mats as a gift from someone and have no idea where they were bought, so I do not think they even have the option of replacing the ones that I had received.

1) Ask the person that give you the floor mats where they were purchased.
2) Ask the dealer to do what you consider to be satisfactory and equitable.
3) Replacing a floor mat, or a set of mats, ought to be relatively simple.

Of you course you should ask them to replace it.
If you had one before and you don't now, they should fix that problem. You shouldn't have to worry about them losing your things when you go in to get your car serviced.

Make a hole, coming thru!
"I worship the mud off your Pradas, baby. In fact, here's some winter mats for your car so I can collect it and put it in my shrine."
So if I read you correctly, you took it to the dealer for detailing. Interesting, I'd never think a dealership would be economical for that compared with a hand-wash detailing shop. Aaaaanyway.
They should compensate you for a lost mat. If they were all-season mats, maybe give you a set. I could understand misplacing something when your car's in for service, but losing a mat when what they're doing is detailing it? Time to find new detailers, these guys have no attention to details. (Sorry, couldn't resist!)
