Daytime Running Lights

Hi,
I just bought 05 TSX from US. In order to meet Canadian safety standards, I need to install Daytime Running Lights.

I was going to have 'em installed by an auto electrician but came across with this forum and found it very interesting and exciting. I'd like to do it myself now but have no clue where to buy the required parts and how to do modifications.

I'll appreciate if anybody can answer my questions and guide me through this modification.

Love this forum...

Did you buy your TSX somewhere other than Canada? I was under the impression Canadian market TSX's had DRL's standard.

TSXs from Canada have DRL equipped on them. You must have bought this TSX outside of Canada or this car was imported from somewhere else.

I think I remember seeing a DIY on here somewhere some time ago. I had thought about doing it myself as I find myself driving on little 2 lane country roads regularly and CGP just blends into the pavement.

Thanks for reply. Yes, I know there is one thread for installing DRL on Acura TL. I do not know if that is valid for TSX as well. If you have seen one for TSX, please send me the link.

Thanks again,

Oh yeah, that's right. There's a module. I had forgotten about that. I think that's why I didn't do it initally. I wonder if they'd accept a foglight DRL mod. That wouldn't be too tough to rig, you just wouldn't be able to turn them off.

just get some ebay "JDM" replica fogs. The harness can alloy them to be turned on with a seperate switch. Then just turn them on in the day. Thats what I do.
