Thumbs up Damn I chose the right car!

Hello friends,

I'm Sam from Toronto-Ontario-Canada. Picked up my brand-new Pearl White 06 TSX (non-navi with 6MT) yesterday. I'll post a pic as soon as I can.

Today I went back to the dealer and dropped off my car to get the windows tinted(for free). They gave me a 5-speed RSX as a loaner and I had some fun with the loaner!(RSX is the ultimate fun car if you wanna go crazy!)

When I got my TSX back 2 hours ago, I couldn't stop admiring my baby for her looks. Then I started driving it and noticed how expensive and confident it feels compared to the RSX! I know we're comparing apples and oranges here, but I just felt like saying that!

Been a long-time researcher, reader here and today I finally started posting.

I test drove 12 BMWs(3 and 5 series), 3 Nissans(Altima, Maxima and Infinity G35), 1 Luxus(IS300), an Audi(A4), a Volvo and a VW Jetta before this and I was sold on the first test-drive of TSX!

Not to mention I was originally going for the TL, but once I experienced the handling of TSX, I was like "WTF are you thinking man?!!"

Now I gotta sit down and figure out how I'm gonna pay for it!

Cheers,

Sam

We all know the feeling; the TSX is on hell of a deal compared to the competition in the same price range. Congrats and welcome to the family.

Simple. Before you buy your car you make sure your salesrep doesn't think he's done with you once and for all! You tell him that even if your car needs to be towed, he's the one you're going to call. His excitement about the commission will certainly go a long way in giving you some nice promises of which some can actually be taken up later on.

When I was buying the car I told the sales manager that if my car needed to stay at the dealership for any reason I wouldn't want to be sent on my way in an automatic civic or EL. I wanted a TSX or TL as a loaner.

Well today, I went there and saw this MT RSX and asked if I could take that one instead. They okayed that without any hesitation as there was no TSXs for me to take.

I think it may have something to do with him being in Canada. I've noticed that most people in foreign countries (esp. in Europe or China) drive stick....

Yeah, I pretty much had the same experience. It's been 7 months, and I still admire and appreciate my ride!

Nah, unfortunately Canada is more like the USA in the stick/auto ratios, although I'd love to see stats on countries around the world with regards to this -- it'd be interesting!

Dont think that will make much of a difference.

Alot of dealerships are cutting down on loaners (not only Acura) and they will only keep a small handful of them around and give those out to those that pre-book in advance or give to customers that are in real need such as families etc.

By expecting a TL or perhaps a TSX dont keep your hopes upt. Dosnt make sense since you own a TSX and if a RL owner or MDX owner comes in 10 minutes after you come in and take a TSX they get stuck with an EL? Do you think that RL will come back in? No....the RL service costs are definately higher than that of the TSX.

They will always downgrade the car of what you drive. You probably lucked out in geting the RSX.

Congrats on the 06 TSX, and with it being white it'll blend in with the other 90% of PWP tsx's in toronto
