Crap!
Crap!
I have a 2007 Carbon Grey TSX with navi. While removing the snow this morning with a towel (which I do as not to scratch the paint) the snow plow guy offered to let me use his tool.
I used it but put one of those filmy scratches on the paint. It's not a surface scratch but looks like I film mark and not a scratch. Since I know very little on how buffing works...can these normally be removed?
I know it's difficult without a picture but it looks like that kind of scratch that plastic would get and not imbedded.
Any advice would be great. I just don't want to mess up the original paint. A quick sentence or two on how buffing works would be great as well.
Thanks!

Next time use this. Never had any problems with scratching.

When the weather warms up, get a scratch removing polishing compound. You can get them for a couple bucks at the auto parts dealer. You just apply and buff by hand. They work very well for small surface scratches like the one you're describing. Having the car buffed is most likely overkill for what sounds like a small area of light damage. It sounds like it's more of a transfer than a real scratch anyway.
