Cost price of the TSX

What's up everyone... a future TSX owner here and I have a question..

I went into an Acura dealer today and was talking to the salesman about the car and he said that the cost price is $32,106 and was willing to sell me the car at $32,606 plus all the usual taxes and administration fees of course.

He said that all Acura dealers get the car at that price and I will not be able to find a better deal then what he is offering me. I was wondering if he was telling the truth about the cost price of the vehicle.

Prices are in CDN..

Thanks for your help.

Saywhat, that looks like a pretty good price. There was another member who claims to have been offered $3200 of sticker which would equate to 31,600$, which sounds really good. Whether it is really credible remains to be seen, but here's the link anyway.

Good luck, and welcome, BTW.

See if you can get a better price if you buy 2. I ll fly in and drive back for a deal like that. The dealer here will give $36k as the best deal he can.
Im really considering contacting the dealer in your area to do that.

I'm buying this week, but in Ottawa... Here's what I'm thinking of asking:
- $500 over invoice, so about $32,100
- Throw in the skirt kit: I know this will be tough... at least I would like a price break for it
- Throw in trunk tray, wheel locks, all-weather floor mats
- Rustproofing: I heard Krown is more recommended than doing it at the dealer, but I'm not looking forward to repeating it every year. I'm kind of leaning towards Krown right now.
- Extended warranty: I won't take it unless they offer something like $400 (which they won't).

This week is the end of the month, 2004 models are getting cleared... should be a good time to buy. Let me know if you think I should ask for more, or if I'm asking too much.

PS. I want to trade-in as well. Both Acura dealers in Ottawa have told me that they don't actually buy the car, they call a bidder who offers a certain price. So that makes it sound like they don't have control over the price of the car. Is that true?

I believe 32106 is the invoice price here. I've found it on the canadiandriver.com forums.
